Eternal God or Mortal Man

Days pass away under God’s wrath,
We bring our years to an end;
Like a sigh crossing our path,
As the wokeness that did offend.

My life of seventy-three years,
Although of the strength of eighty;
Yet their span had been troubled fears,
Gone because of the Almighty.

I fly away from the sorrow,
Knowing the might of His anger;
His wrath fades from tomorrow,
Because the fear makes me languor.

He teaches the number of days,
As to get a heart of wisdom;
Let us repent the sinful ways,
And freeing me from my ransom.

He satisfies me with mercy,
In the morning with steadfast love;
As His plans have consistency,
While blessings flow from above.

Rejoice and be glad all our days,
Because we have been afflicted;
The years seeing evil always,
Temptations made us addicted.

Let of His work be shown by us,
Glorious might to His children;
Such wondrous creations as thus,
As considered second to none.

Let the favor of our Lord,
Stablish the work of our hands;
Be accomplished in one accord,
Unto His precepts as it stands.
