It was essential to pattern,
The copies of heavenly things;
Be purified these rites to learn,
What the sacrifice that it brings.

Christ enters not a holy place,
That was made by man with his hands;
Which are figures bestowed by grace,
But by what the Father demands.

In God’s presence now to appear,
On our behalf He does provide;
As the high priest that we revere,
With the blood to those who abide.

How often does He must suffer,
Since the foundation of the world;
Sinful conditions were tougher,
By the mockery that was hurled.

He was decreed to die for man,
After that will come the verdict;
Because it has been in God’s plan,
All non-believers to afflict.

Christ was offered to bear the sin,
And will appear a second time;
Not to deal with sin but begin,
Rescue those erased of their crime.
